We Help People Navigate the Complex Care Industry

How We Work

Deciding on care for the later chapters of life is one of the biggest decisions you and your family will make, often with a significant financial impact.

We believe it should be approached with the utmost scrutiny and professionalism.

At Local Care Adviser, we are committed to making this process easier, saving you time, effort and money.

  • We stay on top of industry trends and legislative updates to provide you with the most current and relevant information.

  • Our thorough research on local care providers is compiled into a customised portfolio, featuring easy-to-read factsheets, provider brochures and key details like fees, availability, nutrition, activities and other essential factors to help you make informed decisions.

  • We encourage clients to explore all available choices, ask important questions and consider every alternative. When needed, we work alongside reputable external professionals —including SOLLA-accredited financial advisors, solicitors, medical teams and community organisations — ensuring you receive the highest level of support, with your needs and wishes advocated for at every step.

Who We Are

I have always been a people person, someone who listens and cares deeply. Helping people is in my nature, and I have always felt compelled to do whatever I can to lighten their load.

I started Local Care Adviser to continue this approach.

If I can take even one burden off someone’s shoulders, then it has been a good day.
— Roberta Svile, the Founder of Local Care Adviser

Local Care Adviser is built on one simple principle: true human-to-human support. Call me old-fashioned, but I believe in people embracing one another in a real and authentic way. A friendly smile, a comforting word and a shared moment of understanding can make all the difference when you are feeling overwhelmed.

My journey to founding Local Care Adviser began with nearly a decade of experience working with private clients in London’s West End boutique property market. While I truly loved my job, I always felt something was missing — a deeper sense of purpose in helping others.

Then, to my surprise, I was headhunted for a position in the care industry, where I discovered my true calling. This field provided the perfect opportunity to combine my early passion for human psychology and training in relaxation techniques for emotional wellbeing with my experience advising high-profile, diverse clients to make a real difference in people’s lives.

I have seen first-hand how difficult it can be for families trying to find the right care for their loved ones. Many of my clients came to me stressed, uncertain about where to begin, burdened with guilt and struggling to balance their own lives while making such an important decision. It was heartbreaking to hear what they were going through. But what was harder still was knowing that I could not help everyone as much as I wanted while working for a sole care provider.

I knew then that finding the right care should not be a journey filled with stress and uncertainty—it should be a process where you feel empowered and supported.

I have always been a people person, someone who listens and cares deeply. Helping people is in my nature, and I have always felt compelled to do whatever I can to lighten their load.

I started Local Care Adviser to continue this approach.

If I can take even one burden off someone’s shoulders, then it has been a good day.

Our goal is to ensure that every decision you make about care brings you peace of mind and confidence, knowing you have chosen the best path for yourself or your loved ones. Everyone deserves that.

We think of care as simply an adjustment in life, which provides all the help and encouragement needed to sustain a high quality of life as we age.
